Cybercab Is Live,
but Tesla Has Not Yet Proven Robotaxi Economics

Robotaxis cross a public-rider threshold; humanoids do not

01 · Tesla Cybercab

On 3 September, Cybercab began limited public rides in Austin. The steering-wheel-free vehicle is requested and started through the Robotaxi app. Texas records indicate roughly 420 autonomous vehicles locally, including about 45 Cybercabs. 02 · Waymo

On 1 September, Waymo began fully driverless rides for initial public users in Denver, San Diego and Tampa, bringing passenger service to 14 cities. 03 · Tesla FSD Europe

France started road tests of FSD Supervised to inform potential EU approval. Tesla disclosed more than 100 million kilometers across five European countries, but the company defines and collects the data; regulators must review independently. Zoox entered paid service in Las Vegas and plans Houston and San Diego. The new cities initially involve mapping and testing with modified vehicles, not commercial rides by purpose-built Robotaxis. Paid rides, fleet size, area and operating cost are next. Reuters ↗

05 · Humanoids and NVIDIA
